The Devil's Bridge Hike - Sedona Arizona

The final push to the top was a bit of a rock scramble and lots of "stairs". And then I saw it. The Devil's Bridge. The bridge is the largest sandstone arch in the Sedona area and stands just over 50 feet tall. The narrow walkway out onto the bridge is terrifying and my fear of heights almost won out and prevented me from trying it. It's wide enough for two people to easily walk out on but it's more of the mental game knowing both sides have a steep drop off. After some quick photo ops it was time to head back.

Superstition Mountains - Beauty, Tragedy, and One Heck of a Hike!

We later learned a bit more about the incredible Superstition Mountains. First off, this hike is considered strenuous and only for experienced hikers so it’s definitely a good thing I turned back with Millie (and heck yeah Kristin for making it up to the top!) Secondly, there are a lot of spooky things that seem to happen in this place! It all began with the legend of the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine.

Hiking to Potato Harbor and Snorkeling in the Channel Islands - Santa Cruz Island

When I think of California National Parks, I tend to think of Yosemite, or Sequoia, or the Redwoods. I never even knew that there was a park so close to Los Angeles, and so completely different than any other national park I've ever been to. Channel Islands National Park is located just off the coast of Ventura, about 90 minutes away from Los Angeles. The park consists of 5 islands and their surrounding waters. Between the land adventures and the sea, this is one amazing and unique park.

Costa Rica Travel Guide - What To Do, Where To Stay, How to Experience Pura Vida

The first thing I learned in Costa Rica is “Pura Vida” which means pure life and that became the theme of our trip. From our driver picking us up at the airport and telling us all about the culture and people of Costa Rica, to exploring the countryside on our way to the resort, I did my best to sit back and take it all in. We showed up at The Springs Resort and Spa and between the stunning view of Arenal Volcano, the luxurious accommodations, and the swim up bar I knew this was the perfect place for me to be at this time in my life.
