Michigan State University - So Much More Than Football and Farming
Growing up 10 minutes down the road from Michigan State University I knew it for two things; farming, and football. I never really came to explore the campus or check out the festivals and art that it had to offer. So I was blown away to discover the artistic side to this Big 10 University. Here are four reasons MSU is bringing culture to college.
Snorkeling The Siflra Fissure In Iceland
The Silfra Fissure is located in Þingvellir National Park and is the only place in the world where you can snorkel in between two tectonic plates. In some places you can even touch both the North American and Eurasian plates at the same time. You can see up to 260ft. down making it some of the clearest water in the world and one of the world’s top diving locations.
Lancaster California Travel- Adventuring To New Heights
Adventure is defined as "an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity." So an Air Show in Lancaster seemed the perfect place to experience something new! I headed there a day early to see what the town and surrounding area was like and to get into some nature.
The Devil's Bridge Hike - Sedona Arizona
The final push to the top was a bit of a rock scramble and lots of "stairs". And then I saw it. The Devil's Bridge. The bridge is the largest sandstone arch in the Sedona area and stands just over 50 feet tall. The narrow walkway out onto the bridge is terrifying and my fear of heights almost won out and prevented me from trying it. It's wide enough for two people to easily walk out on but it's more of the mental game knowing both sides have a steep drop off. After some quick photo ops it was time to head back.
Superstition Mountains - Beauty, Tragedy, and One Heck of a Hike!
We later learned a bit more about the incredible Superstition Mountains. First off, this hike is considered strenuous and only for experienced hikers so it’s definitely a good thing I turned back with Millie (and heck yeah Kristin for making it up to the top!) Secondly, there are a lot of spooky things that seem to happen in this place! It all began with the legend of the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine.

Moon Palace Vacation in Jamaica
when a friend of mine won an all-inclusive trip to Jamaica and offered to take me as his +1, I had a choice; try to contact companies to get in as much adventure as possible, film around the resort, or completely turn off and aside from occasional guilt for not featuring a location, ACTUALLY relax! I chose the later.
Lansing, Michigan Travel Guide
The capital of Michigan blew me away with it's growing neighborhoods and delicious places to eat and drink. But more than that, Lansing blew me away with it's pride. Here are some of the incredible stops in the Lansing area that I definitely recommend checking out.

Hiking to Potato Harbor and Snorkeling in the Channel Islands - Santa Cruz Island
When I think of California National Parks, I tend to think of Yosemite, or Sequoia, or the Redwoods. I never even knew that there was a park so close to Los Angeles, and so completely different than any other national park I've ever been to. Channel Islands National Park is located just off the coast of Ventura, about 90 minutes away from Los Angeles. The park consists of 5 islands and their surrounding waters. Between the land adventures and the sea, this is one amazing and unique park.
White Water Rafting the Killer Kern River
The Killer Kern. That’s what they call it. The Kern River has claimed over 280 lives since 1968 and another 8 this summer alone. After learning that less than 2% of accidents occur on commercial rafting trips and being reassured that we would not only be rafting with Ed, but he would take along his best guides for the trip, I began to feel better about the idea.

From our driver picking us up at the airport and telling us all about the culture and people of Costa Rica, to exploring the countryside on our way to the resort, I did my best to sit back and take it all in. We showed up at The Springs Resort and Spa and between the stunning view of Arenal Volcano, the luxurious accommodations, and the swim up bar I knew this was the perfect place for me to be at this time in my life.
National Park 100 - For the Newcomer...
National parks were not super on my radar yet. My dad and I planned a long road trip for the move to California and THAT’S where I started to get it. We stopped in Moab and took pictures at Arches National Park, we took back roads to drive through part of Rocky Mountain National Park, we stopped at the Grand Canyon to take in all of the wonder and man did it spark something in me!

Mighty Mongoose features some amazing adventures in some of America’s biggest cities. And they take things one step further and create entire packages like Catalina Island and Zipline excursions, airplane tours over Malibu Canyon, sunrise Hot Air Balloon rides, 2-day Niagara Falls tour from NYC, and more!
