Staying in a Triangle Cabin in the Colorado Mountains

I have spent years looking at adorable cozy cabins on Instagram and it was always on my bucket list to stay at one in the mountains. So when I saw a post on Facebook about the Triangle Cabin in Jefferson, Colorado, I had to go! Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint!

Jefferson is about 90 minutes outside of Denver, Colorado and a world away. Heading up to the cabin, we were winding through peak fall season of colorful trees and mountainous roads. Things opened up right outside of Jefferson as we found ourselves surrounded by wide open space on the plateau.

The Triangle Cabin is an A-Frame cabin that has it all. A full working kitchen, modern bathroom and giant windows to view the mountains outside. Inside there is a circular stairway that heads up to the cozy bedroom with a perfectly placed window to watch the sunrise in the morning over the mountains.

After we settled in, we headed to Pike National Forest to enjoy a sunset at Jefferson Lake. The fall leaves and crisp weather made this the ultimate fall vacation! Before heading back, we stopped at Jefferson Market for some fresh made sandwiches and french fries. After dinner we enjoyed a bottle of wine outside in the private hot tub. Everything about this cabin screamed cozy romantic getaway.

The next day we headed out to the town of Fairplay and took a hike out on the Colorado Trail to take in the yellow aspens up close. We loved this area so much, we’re hoping to build a Triangle Cabin of our own someday. We definitely didn’t want to leave!
