What's a Cooling Shirt and Why Do You Need One - Mobile Cooling Shirt Review

Long sleeves in the summer?!? No thanks! Right? That’s how I always felt. I mean I understood the need for people who are fair-skinned and want to protect themselves from sunburns but as someone with darker skin, this wasn’t a top concern of mine.

So when Mobile Warming reached out and asked if I wanted to try out their Mobile Cooling® Women's Hooded Long Sleeve Shirt, I was skeptical about how I would like it.

I decided to test this hoodie out on one of my early morning trail runs. I figured it’s cold enough in the morning and then if I was warm once the Colorado sun came out, so be it. This shirt blew my mind and was perfect for BOTH the initial cold temperatures AND the warmer ones. The drirelease® technology prevented me from sweating and actually kept me cooler than my typical cotton tank tops.

The hoodie is made from 92% recycled polyester and UPF 50+ so it’s lightweight and protects from the sun leading to cooler skin temperatures by up to 7°. I also LOVE the flattering fit of this shirt. As a curvier girl, it drives me nuts that most “cooling” shirts are made super form-fitting which actually makes me sweat more and the shirts end up smelling awful after a run and collecting dust in my drawer. The Odorsheer™ anti-odor tech keeps the Mobile Cooling shirt from growing any smelly bacteria leaving this shirt fresh and odor-free.

Gotta say, while I wasn’t entirely sure how I would like my Mobile Cooling® Women's Shirt, I’ve ended up wearing it on every single trail run since that first day! I’m kinda obsessed! If you are looking for an activewear shirt that protects you from the sun while keeping you cool, I can’t recommend Mobile Cooling enough! And as we come out of summer and into colder months, check out their Mobile Warming gear.
